The four defendants, three of which remain fugitives and were tried in absentia, had previously been tried and acquitted [JURIST report], but the Russian Supreme Court overturned their second acquittal [JURIST report] in August 2005 citing criminal procedure violations. The battle between members of the occupation structures and a group of fighters took place yesterday, 13 June, several kilometers from the village of Khalkeloi. Two units of fighters took part, one under the command of amir Adam, the other one under Ramzan Saluyev.
While breaking out of the encirclement during the battle, Amir Adam Dadayev was martyred, insha Allah. Four mercenaries from the GRU gang were killed on the side of the occupiers, and they had wounded too.
This was reported to the editorial staff of Vainakh.org by Amir of the Shatoi direction Ramzan.

As ITAR-TASS learnt at the Interior Ministry of the republic, the incident occurred in the motor road between the villages of Verkhniye Kurchali and Belgatoi, 500 metres to the northwest of the village of Belgatoi on Wednesday at 15.20 Moscow time. The administration head and officers of the Vedeno Interior Department were coming back to Kurchali in several cars.
