A representative of the Headquarters of The Eastern Front of the Armed Forces of Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (CRI)  (the Commander Amir Mus-Hadisov Sultan) told the Kavkaz-Center Information Agency about that on the eve in the evening Mujahiddeens eliminated a squad of the Russian aggressors on high ground  nearby the Turti-Kotar settlement of the Nozhay-Yurt Region of the country

According to information of the Chechen sources, due to setting an ambush the enemy squad was attacked unexpectedly and intensively. During the combat many kafirs were killed on the site and others run away or were dispersed. According to preliminary data over 10 enemy soldiers found their death and at lease 15 ones were injured. One Mujahiddeen became Shaheed (inshAllah), and 4 Islamic fighters were injured.

According to the source inside the HQ of Eastern Front of CRI Armed Forces from the end of May permanent firefights with invaders and puppet formations have been taking place since end of the May in Nojay-Yurt, Kurchaloi, and Vedeno districts of the country. Mujahideen use tactics of ambushes and sabotages. Invaders are using Special Forces, air forces, and artillery.

Sources of Kavkaz Center in Chechnya report a noticeable increase in military presence of invaders and puppets in the capital Jokhar.

Special operation underway in Argun

CHECHNYA - Chechen and Russian security forces are conducting a special search operation today in the central Chechen town of Argun, where Abdul-Khalim Sadullayev, President of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, was killed in an armed clash on Saturday.

The town is encircled by security forces and everyone‘s identity cards are being checked. There are especially large numbers of security officials in the so-called Indian Settlement area on Svobody Street. The shootout in which Sadullayev and two policemen were killed took place there yesterday.

Security forces are still searching for two guerrillas who accompanied the Chechen resistance leader. They managed to escape by driving off in a local resident’s car and headed for the village of Mesker-Yurt, south of Argun.
