Seven servicemen killed in Chechnya in April - Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax-AVN) - Seven federal servicemen were killed or died in Chechnya in April 2006 in the line of duty, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on its official website on Wednesday.

Three servicemen were killed in fighting and four died of non-combat related causes. No one was reported missing in April, the Defense Ministry said. sd

Gunbattle near Dishni-Vedeno

Spokesman of Military Council Majlisul Shura of CRI reported to Kavkaz Center news agency about an ambush against Russian kafirs’ Spetsnaz unit that was carried out by Mujahideen of Amir Hayrulla’s group near Dishni-Vedeno village the day before. During the firefight 5 kafirs were eliminated and many wounded. According to spokesman kafirs in a panic have withdrew to their regiment’s dislocation in vicinities of Vedeno town.

The source report that after gun battle Russian invaders a few hours bombed vicinities of Dishni-Vedeno and Vedeno. Mujahideen did not incur any losses in these attacks.

Russian convoy routed: 11 invaders eliminated, wounded

Additional information about firefight near village Nikihat in CHR’s Kurchaloy has reported. According to occupational sources as a result of attack of Mujahideen 5 invaders were killed and 6 others were injured. Some units of military hardware were disabled.

1 soldier dead after accident in Chechen capital

20/05/2006 11:13 GROZNY, Chechnya, May 20 (RIA Novosti) - A soldier was killed in a shooting accident early Saturday morning in Grozny, the capital of troubled Chechnya in the North Caucasus, a regional law-enforcement agency source said.

The soldier - a police driver from the Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Area in central West Siberia - managed to shoot himself in the chest as a result of careless handling of a weapon, and died on the way to hospital, the source said.

"An internal investigation is underway into the incident," the source said.

Dagestan Mujahid has entered into unequal fight in the city of Khasavyurt when the so-called “Spetsnaz” of Russian gangs in Northern Caucasus tried to capture him. According to sources in occupational forces, the Mujahideen name is Bulat Abdullayev.
