More killed in Chechen clashes

Five fighters, two Chechen police officers and a Russian soldier have been killed in the last 24 hours in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Chechnya</st1:place></st1:country-region>, an official from the pro-Moscow government said.

Russian army checkpoints were targeted

A Russian soldier was killed and another injured by shots fired at a number of Russian army checkpoints that had been the targets of at least 10 separate attacks in a 24 hour period, the administrator said on condition of anonymity.

In a separate incident, one Chechen police officer was killed and four others wounded in fighting southwest of <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Grozny</st1:City></st1:place>.

Two fighters also died in the confrontation.

Two other suspected separatists were killed in the region of Vedeno, the Moscow-backed authority said.

The head of Analysis and Information Service of the Caucasus Emirate, Movladi Udugov has briefly commented on recent developments related to propagandistic activities of the group of defectors from the former organization men of CRI and the combatants defected to the side of Russian infidels and joined the ringleader of pro-Moscow apostates Kadyrov.

Chechen actor, so-called "People's Artist of Russia" Dagun Omayev (on picture in the center) has offered Akhmed Zakayev to return to Chechnya.

"I do not know what a warrior was Zakayev, I have not ran along with him in the mountains. But I had played with him at one stage. His is a talented actor, and I am sure that his place is here in Chechnya", Omayev said, speaking at Kadyrov's TV.
