GROZNY, February 23 (RIA Novosti) - Five policemen were killed in an explosion at a Chechen Interior Ministry base in the North Caucasus republic's eastern Gudermes District, police said Friday.
A ministry source said careless handling of ammunition could be to blame for the incident reports say left two people injured.
Another ministry source, however, said the explosion occurred near a school at the moment when policemen who discovered a bomb were trying to defuse it.

GROZNY, February 23 (Itar-Tass) -- A bomb explosion killed five police officers and injured two in the Gudermes district of Chechnya, Gudermes district administration chief Vakha Nasukhanov told Itar-Tass.
He thinks it was a terrorist act.

As Radio "Liberty" reports, according to the occupational sources, in the Vedenskiy district of CRI, the diversive group of mojaheds has blown up an armored troop-carrier with invaders, near the village of Tsa-Vedeno. Thus invaders approve, that in result of this attack only 1 occupant is wounded.
Meanwhile according to hypocrites, in the settlement of Ishcherskaja (Naursky district) during fight 1 mojahed became Shahid (Insha'Allah). As puppets approve, the mojahed has blown up himself together with two hypocrites. Collaborators are only hardly wounded,- they reported.
