The Mujahideen attacked the enemy and killed 3 Russians in a short firefight. Several invaders were also left wounded but their precise number is unknown. After the firefight, Russian artillery and war helicopters pounded for 4 hours the forest-covered area where the firefight had happened. There were no losses among the Mujahideen. Meanwhile, according to Russian news reports, a group of Mujahideen attacked a checkpoint manned by Ingush apostates. The apostates made no resistance and were left alive.
