Around 80 houses in Serzhen-Yurt damaged by artillery fire

CHECHNYA – Around 80 private houses in the village of Serzhen-Yurt have suffered damage of various kinds as a result of artillery fire by Russian soldiers located in the outskirts of the city of Shali, about 25 kilometres southeast of Grozny. Cracks have appeared in the walls of all the houses, some in the foundations. This was recently reported to Prague Watchdog by Imran Ezhiyev, director of the North Caucasus section of the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society.

The Mujahideen ambushed and attacked the Russian troops with machine-gun, grenade-launcher and submachine-gun fire. According to preliminary reckoning, 6 Russian troops were killed and at least 10 others were wounded. The final Russian losses are assumed to be much higher. Several Russian military vehicles were destroyed or disabled. The Mujahideen suffered no casualties.

The Russians reported then two their soldiers dead, the Chechens said that six foreign troops had been killed. The KC promised to inform its readers about the results of this appeal, so that readers outside Russia including the Reuters and the AP editors in London and New York knew our opinion about them.
We keep our promise and inform our readers that neither Reuters nor the AP bothered to report about this operation of the Chechen Mujajideen at all.

As earlier reported, Chechen fighters ambushed a Russian motorized convoy on a road between the villages of Achkhoi Martan and Kotai Yurt on Tuesday, October 17, 2006, killing 6 and wounding 10 Russian colonial troops consisting of natives. The Mujahideen suffered no casualties.
A Russian humvee was attacked with grenade-launcher fire in the district of Achkhoi Martan on October 17, 2006. At least one Russian soldier was killed and 2 others were severely wounded in the action.

A mobile group of Chechen Mujahideen engaged in a firefight with Russian invaders in the area of the village Nokhch Keloi of the Shatoi district. The Russians reported no casualties on both sides and mentioned no further details. As of press time, no information about this incident was available from the Chechen Military Command.
