3 Russian soldiers and 2 their local puppets were killed during the attacks by Chechen Mujahideen on positions of invaders and collaborators in the Chechen capital of Jokhar in the night October 9-10, 2006 according to a report from the Chechen Military Command. According to radio intercept, at least 7 other Russians and puppets were wounded. The Mujahideen suffered no casualties.

Russian artillery proceeded with  intensive bombing of forested areas south and east of the district center of  Vedeno for the 4th day already. No information about casualties among civilians was available  according to the Chechen commander report.

A Russian Military Convoy was struck with two landmines that exploded in 15 minutes after each other near the village of Belgatoi in the Shali district. Two invaders were wounded in the attack according to a Russian news report.

According to a report from Radio Liberty citing Russian sources, a mobile group of Chechen Mujahideen attacked Russian occupation troops in the area of the village Avtury in the Shali dictrict. 2 Russian soldiers were killed and another 3 were wounded in the action. The Mujahideen then withdrew from the scene without having suffered any casualties.

A mobile group of Mujahideen engaged in a firefight with a Russian army special forces' unit in a forested area near the village of  Selmentauzen last Sunday, October 8, 2006. Four Russian troops were killed and at least 3 others were wounded in the action. 3 Mujahideen were slightly injured according to a report from the Chechen Military Command.

After the battle, Russian artillery intensively pounded the environs of the Selmentauzen village on the night between October 8-9, 2006.

Mujahideen carried out a sabotage operation in the Chechen capital of Jokhar on Friday, October 13, 2006, killing 2 Russian troops and capturing their weapons.

A whole series of clashes between Chechen Mujahideen and invaders with their puppets took place in the southern Vedeno district of Chechnya during the last few days according to reports from the Chechen Military Command. The enemy suffered losses in local firefights. Mujahideen engaged  in battles several times in the area of villages Dargo, Zhanni Vedeno, Dishni Vedeno and Eshekkhatoi. No exact information about casualties on both sides was available.

Meanwhile, several clashes with Russian invaders and their puppets also took place in western Chechnya in the area of the villages of Bamut and Yandi Kotar on the Ingush border.
