A puppet police officer was found dead of gunshot wounds in a mountain village in southern Chechnya, puppet authorities said.
The body of the officer, from the Moscow-backed puppet government's police force, was found Monday near the settlement of Gatin-Kale, with bullet wounds in the head and chest according to an AP report.

A Russian military reconnaissance patrol was attacked in the district of Shatoi 5 miles from the Borzoi village on Tuesday morning (October 10). One Russian soldier was killed and 3 others were injured in this action by a mobile group of Chechen Mujahideen consisting of approximately 10 fighters. After a brief battle, the Mujahideen withdrew in the direction of the Itum Kali district according to a report from Radio Liberty.

In another attack, a sabotage group of Mujahideen blasted a vehicle of local puppet policemen in the area of the district center of Vedeno on Monday, October 9, 2006, killing 3 and severely injuring 1 traitor.
