The US authorities have to impose a ban on issuing a US visa and to freeze all assets of the ringleader of the puppet regime in Chechnya, Kadyrov, because of his human rights violations and continuing practice of political assassinations, said the US Commission on International Religious Freedom.
The Commission is used by the US State Department, the Congress and the Administration as a group of experts to assess the status of religious freedom and religious rights in various countries.
Its heads are appointed by the President and approved by the US Congress. On Thursday, the commission announced on its website a new annual report.
"The U.S. government should institute a visa ban and freeze the assets of Ramzan Kadyrov due to his continued gross human rights violations and alleged links to politically-motivated killings, and urge its European partners to do the same", says the commission's report.
The commission's report says nothing about possible presence in the United States of any assets of Kadyrov, as well as it does not mention any cases of Kadyrov applying for a US visa.
The US State Department has not commented on the recommendations of the commission.
It is to be recalled that a trial over the murder of a former bodyguard of Kadyrov, Umar Israilov, is going on in Austria. Austrian investigators found that Kadyrov was behind the murder, and it seems that he ordered the crime.
The Austrian prosecutor's office appealed to the Russian authorities calling for an investigative against Kadyrov, but Moscow ignored this request.
Kadyrov has also refused to come to Austria for questioning, fearing his arrest. He also refused to testify in connection with the accusations made against him in a video conference.
