Occupiers kill and burn a kidnapped innocent civilian from Ingushetia Publication time: 2 August 2007, 21:45 As reported earlier, the occupiers reported the death of a Mujahid in the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya yesterday. The report said that the Mujahid resisted an attempt to arrest him while he was driving in a car.
The Russian side reported for some reason that the killed Mujahid had lived in Ingushetia, without giving his name.
The site Ingushetiya.ru reported that the man killed by the occupiers was the innocent Ingush civilian Magomed Barkinhoyev, who had been kidnapped by the occupiers on 27 July, 4 days before his murder, in the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya in the Sunzha district of Ingushetia.
The Russian media reported with reference to the occupiers that he allegedly had "fired back until the end, however, he was killed by the return fire and burned together with the car". Furthermore, the occupiers declared that the kidnapped and then killed "fighter" allegedly participated in the attack on a "mobile police unit" in the Malgobek district on 31 July (3 days after his kidnapping!).
