From: MSN NicknameEagle_wng (Original Message) Sent: 8/7/2007 12:44 PM D.Umarov visits Chechen capital Publication time: 6 August 2007, 17:56 Kavkaz Center's source reports that the President of the CRI, Dokka Umarov, on the threshold of the storming of capital Gorzny (Jokhar), which was prepared and carried out as part of Operation "Jihad" on August 6, 1996, visited the Chechen capital Jokhar last Saturday.
Dokka Umarov held a conference with the commander of the Central Front of the CRI Armed Forces, Abubakar Basayev, and several Amirs.
Dokka Umarov was accompanied by his personal guard and a special protection unit. The President visited several districts of the capital, where he met with local residents, according to the source.
One of the meetings with inhabitants of Jokhar took place next to the Press Building. Tens of people were able to meet with the President of the CRI and to ask questions.
The appearance of Dokka Umarov in Jokhar created panic among the invaders and their stooges, as well as rumours about a forthcoming assault on the capital by units from the CRI Armed Forces. The invaders began to advance armored vehicles and to transport troops from Khankala and Sheikh Mansur Airport.
On Sunday morning roadblocks reinforced with armored vehicles were placed on many roads and crossroads.
Many residents went to the villages to their relatives and friends. Munafiqs (the national traitors) hastily moved their family to Moscow, Rostov, Nalchik, etc.
The source in the General Staff of the CRI Armed Forces didn't confirm the reports about a forthcoming assault and said that the subdivisions of the Mujahideen are acting in accordance with the plan for the spring-summer military campaign and will continue with their planned military operations.
Let us recall that on August 6, 1996, Chechen units entered the capital and attacked locations of Russian kafirs and a munafiqs. The operation "Jihad" was unprecedented in its audacity and ability to storm the city with minimum strength.
850 Mujahideen were able to block the 7000th group of troops inside the city and the moving of armored columns from the Khankala and the airport. During the fierce firefighting in the capita 2 thousands volunteers were joined the Chechen troops. Operation "Jihad" was ended with the The Khasav-Yurt peace accord and the withdrawal of all Russian occupation troops from CRI.
