The Review of the 300-th Week of the War

(The 4 th – 10 th of June, 2005)

Many people, possibly, remember, how in autumn, 1999, the commander-in-chief of the Russian army, which had intruded the Chechen Republic, general Kazantsev, sparkling with his gold teeth, gave a promise to Russians, that "this time war will be over in two-three weeks". Several other generals were standing near him: grinning Shamanov with a physiognomy, as if taken from the textbook on studying of degenerates, and Troshev, with an owl's beak instead of the nose, who was permanently nodding, confirming Kazantsev's promises. Meanwhile, instead of the declared "two-three weeks", the Second Russian-Chechen war proceeds for 300 weeks, and it is not only “not over”, but, on the contrary, it promptly extends across the whole Northern Caucasus .

For the last week different regions of the ChRI were mentioned in the war communiques 59 times: the capital of the country, the city-hero Johar – 14 times, the Vedeno region - 10 times, the Nojai-Yurt region - 7 times, the Gudermess and Shelkovskiy regions - 4 times each, the Kurchaloi, the Achhoi-Martan, the Shatoi, the Urus-Martan regions - 3 times each, and the Groznyy-rural, the Sunzhensky, the Shali and the Itum-Kali regions of the ChRI – 2 times each. In the war communiques Dagestan (4 times), Ingushetia (2 times) and the Northern Ossetia (once), where at night from Thursday to Friday from the automatic weapon and grenade cup discharges the blockhouse at the well-known Chermenskiy circle was fired, also were mentioned.

According to the generalized data collected from different Chechen, Russian and western mass-media, for the last week the opponent lost 138 killed and not less than 180 gangsters wounded. The following techniques of Putin's terrorist formations is completely or partially destroyed: 7 units of armored techniques (5 armored troop-carriers and 2 BMPs), 11 trucks (including 2 armored "Urals" and 1 armored "KamAZ"), and also not less than 15 cars (including 4 armored "UAZs").

On the 8 th , 9 th , 10th of June there were especially intensive fights, in which Putin's gangs applied aircraft and artillery in the Nojai-Yurt and Vedeno regions of the ChRI. So, on the 9 th of June, in the Nojai-Yurt region of the country there was an intensive fight against numerous gangs of the Russian invaders, who were supported by fighting helicopters and aircraft. According to the Chechen party, during the fight, which lasted for about two hours, mojaheds destroyed not less than nine invaders and about 20 of them were wounded. One mojahed became a Shahid and four of them were wounded insignificantly. In the Itum-Kali region of the ChRI, during one of the special actions, Chechen fighters captured one of the gangsters from the terrorist cells of the FSB, what was confirmed by the Russian site "Novosti". According to our data, the detained gangster already gives grateful evidences to the Chechen investigatory bodies about his participation in the acts of terrorism in the territory of the ChRI.

While Putin like a broken doll repeats his empty spells about "the end of the war", Chechen fighters take whole regions of the ChRI under their control. According to the data, collected by the news agency Daymohk in the site of the legal "Society of the Russian-Chechen Friendship", the whole Vedeno region of the ChRI passes under the full control of the Chechen Resistance. Mojaheds move in big groups – they walk or ride horses. They are completely equipped and well armed: with machine guns equipped with optical sights, grenade cup discharges. According to the evidence of the local residents, with approach of darkness Chechen fighters freely come to the territory of the settlements of the Vedeno region.

So, at night from the 1 st to the 2 nd of June a group of about one hundred people entered the regional centre Vedeno. All night long they moved in the village. In village Tsa-Vedeno they came into the houses of the head of the village puppet administration, and also of the people, whom Kadyrov's gangsters hired for their retaliatory formations with threats and promises. Mojaheds warned them, that they would be liquidated as national-traitors if will continued to work for them. In village Elistanzhi at night from the 2 to 3 of June, fighters of the Resistance also warned one of the local residents, whom Kadyrov's assistants planned to appoint as the commander of a new gangster formation from among local residents. In village Dishni-Vedeno, where Yamadaev's gang settles down, mojaheds put two posts at the entrance and departure of the village. Yamadaev's criminals undertook no actions.

Local residents also approve, that groups of the armed forces of the ChRI replenish due to the youth from among those relatives, who were kidnapped by the gangsters from Putin's terrorist formations. On the 3 rd of June, during the Friday pray imams of many rural mosques appealed to parents of the young men no to let their sons to “serve” in gangster structures of invaders and their henchmen even under threats, if they appreciated their lives. Imams told the parishioners, that "it is better for them to work for a copeck at buildings, than for a rouble in these structures".

Meanwhile, under information covering about the intention to carry out "scale cleanings" the Kremlin draws up new occupational units of the North Caucasian military district to Dagestan . In the capital of the republic and in many rural regions the common searches of houses and cars have begun. According to the data, invaders and their henchmen detain young men because of the slightest suspicion in their participation in the forces of the Resistance, and more often - without the slightest grounds, in "preventive purposes", if young men observe the instructions of the Islamic religion though to some extent. This punitive-"preventive" operation of Russian invaders and their local henchmen began on the 4 th of June, and it is rather indicative, that the same day the President of the ChRI Abdul-Halim Sadulaev in his interview to the radio "Freedom" said:

"Putin and his generals see potential enemies in all Caucasians. Being afraid, that somewhere new groups of mojaheds can appear, they begin to strike "preventative" blows on absolutely peaceful people, but thus they harden them and create new centers of military conflicts in the Northern Caucasus . Except for retaliatory instincts, Putin does not have any policy in the Caucasus . The proof is that in Mahachkala explosions and attacks of mojaheds became almost more frequent than in Johar. And in Ingushetia Russian armies are attacked even more than in the Chechen Republic . Kabardino-Balkaria also does not remain aside, where invaders, having killed one mojahed, shout, that they have killed 10 of them. Military actions even more often take place in Karachaevo-Circassia. Adygea is not involved in the conflict yet, but Russians involve it."

Despite of the retaliatory operation developed by the Russian invaders and their henchmen, fighters of the Dagestan Resistance do not reduce fighting and diversive activity. So, even the Russian mass-media was compelled to inform, that last week in Shamilkala (the former Makhachkala ) the Dagestan mojaheds liquidated several high-ranking collaborators, undermined several cars with chastisers from the so-called "Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan" and carried out a sabotage action on the gas main in Hasavyurt. This is how the Dagestan fighters answered the large-scale operation of Russian chastisers and their henchmen.

The other events of the last week: as it became known on the 5 th of June, on Saturday, on the 26 th of May, a session of the SDC- Majlisul Shura of the ChRI took place in one of the regions of the CRI with presence of the President of the ChRI, the Amir of the SDC-Majlisul Shura Sheikh Abdul-Halim. Commanders of different fronts and directions, members of the Military Committee of the SDC-Majlisul Shura of the ChRI and the known leaders: Shamil Basaev, Dokku Umarov, Ahmed Avdorhanov and others, took part in the meeting. Besides military ones a number of personnel questions were discussed and approved. It is informed, that at the session of the SDC-Majlisul Shura of the ChRI a new Vice-President of the ChRI was elected and approved. According to our data, the minister of the National Safety, the commander-in-chief of the Southwest front, General of the Military Forces of the ChRI, Dokku Umarov is elected as the Vice-President of the ChRI.
