Fighting in Kabardino-Balkaria: Russian invaders send additional troops to Elbrus district

Publication time: 22 October 2010, 14:39

After the occupation sources reported about a fighting in Elbrus district in the CE KBK Combined Province, they provide scarce and contradicting information about the situation in abandoned mines of the former Tungsten Ore-Dressing and Processing Company.

In initial summaries, invaders reported they had allegedly killed 3 Mujahideen. However, this information has been confirmed.

KC sources report that a fighting in Elbrus district near the town of Tyrnyauz in vicinity of abandoned mines stopped on Wednesday night. On Thursday morning, invaders and puppets reported about a resumption of their "special operation".

In fact, the entire "special operation" has been reduced to calls by invaders and local puppets to Mujahideen from a loudspeaker to lay down arms. The Mujahideen are promised "amnesty" and "a fair trial".

No response followed. According to sources of the Kavkaz Center, Mujahideen may no longer stay in the mine, as the tunnels of the abandoned mining plants have dozens of exits and mazes.

An armored UAZ jeep damaged by the Mujahideen remains at the entrance to the tunnel. No accurate data is available on casualties among invaders and puppets.

´The invaders claim two of their soldiers and puppets were killed and another 2 injured during the battle. Meanwhile, casualties among the invaders and puppets may be higher, since the Mujahideen attacked them from an ambush, and after a long battle damaged the armored UAZ jeep.

On Thursday evening, a source of the KC said that, as was earlier supposed, that only one Mujahid, Tengiz Budayev, and not three, as previously claimed by the invaders, martyred (inshaAllah) during the battle in Elbrus district.

On Friday morning, invaders and puppets said their units finally ventured to descend into a tunnel of the mine. The system of shafts and tunnels make dozens of kilometers, so the "search" may take several weeks, the invaders lamented today.

According to local puppets, Mujahideen allegedly wanted to set up their winter base in the abandoned shafts.

According to the latest reports, invaders and minions seized two local residents who are now being "checked for contacts with the militants".

It is to be mentioned that three peaceful residents of the village Elbrus, Muhammad Alchagirov, Anatoly Mammeyev, and Asker Taukeshev, were earlier kidnapped in this district.

A rally was held against kidnappings outside the building of the puppet administration of the district Elbrus on Oct. 20.

The kidnapped villagers of Elbrus disappeared after they came to Tyrnyauz to visit a friend who was in a district hospital.

The gang "Elbrus police department" said to relatives they had no information about thereabouts of the missing Muslims.
