Today in Dagestan, a clock-operated explosive was detected under the main Mozdok-Kazimagomed gas pipeline. The bomb was neutralized.
"A self-made explosive had the form of a zinc-coated bucket filled with 4 kilos of explosive - a mix of aluminium powder with ammonium nitrate. The bomb was clock-operated. We destroyed its detonator with a pressure charge," the "Interfax" was informed by the PR Group of the FSB Department for Dagestan.
Gas supply in a section of the main pipe was stopped; now the household gas does not reach Makhachkala and some of adjacent settlements.
The gas main line Mozdok-Kazimagomed was built in 1983 for gas supply to Transcaucasia. Part of supplied gas is directed through the internal gas supply network to Dagestan districts, and another part - by transit across the territory of Dagestan - goes to Azerbaijan and other countries of Southern Caucasus.
