In spite of traumas and fractures Adam Hamkhoev, resident of Ingushetia who returned home after he was kidnapped, refuses treatment in hospital. Hamkhoev is at home now because he does not rule out a new kidnapping.

"I have not quite got over yet. I feel very bad. My coccyx is fractured, there are multiple haematomas on the body and I have pain in my kidneys. Nevertheless, I prefer to stay at home. I am afraid to go to hospital for I do not think I will be safe there", Adam Hamkhoev said.

Bekhan Atigov, Secretary of Security Council of Ingushetia, confirmed that he was aware of detention of Adam Hamkhoev and Pliev brothers.

MOSCOW -- Unidentified attackers set a church ablaze with a grenade in
Russia's mainly Muslim North Caucasus late on Sunday, media reported, in
the latest act of violence in a region where Moscow is struggling to
contain an Islamist insurgency.

No one was hurt in the attack on the Russian Orthodox Church, state-run
RIA news agency reported, which took place at 9.30 p.m. in the town of
Ordzhonikidze, in the impoverished Ingushetia region which borders
Chechnya.

"A rocket-propelled grenade was fired at the church. The shell hit the
church's roof," a police source told RIA.

A decade after Moscow drove separatists from power in the second of two
wars in Chechnya, the North Caucasus is plagued by violence, where
youths angry about poverty and fired up by the ideology of jihad (holy

In the evening of January, 2, unidentified people fired upon the building of an Orthodox church in the stanitsa of Orjonikidzevskaya. There were no victims.

"At about 21:30 Moscow time unidentified people fired upon the building of Pokrov Cathedral in Pionerskaya street of the stanitsa of Orjonikidzevskaya. As a result the building got an insignificant material damage", law enforcement bodies of Sunzha district reported.

None of the congregation or churchmen were injured, "Interfax" reports.

As "Caucasian Knot" has formerly reported, at night of November, 22, an unidentified person fired upon the roof of a church in Orjonikidzevskaya in Ingushetia from a grenade launcher. On November, 9, a dome of an Orthodox church in the same stanitsa was injured by firing.

Incidents of this kind with churches have taken place in other regions of North-Caucasian Federal Okrug, too. For instance, on November, 1, 2010, unknown people ...

Movlid Khaibulaev, a 3rd year student of the North-Caucasian Branch of the Russian Law Academy under the Russian Ministry of Justice, located in Makhachkala, has become World Champion in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA, or M-1) among adults in the 64 kg weight category.

As reported by the GTRC "Stavropolye", the Dagestani student became the winner at the World Championships in Mixed Martial Arts held on December 13-17 in Antalya (Turkey).

Movlid Khaibulaev has not for the first time showed him in sports. In 2006, he was the champion of the SFD (Southern Federal District) in freestyle wrestling, a year later - the champion of Russia in this discipline, and in 2009 - the SFD champion in combat sambo, the RIA "Dagestan" reports.

In the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya, Sunzha District of Ingushetia, three young men have been kidnapped supposedly by power agents. Two of them came back home with bruises - results of beatings, while the fate of the third one is still unknown, runs the statement of Musa Khamkhoev, his father, addressed to the Ombudsman of Ingushetia and human rights activists.

His application says that on December 30, 2010, at about 9 in the evening the house of the Pliev family at No. 31 Rosa Luxemburg Street in Ordzhonikidzevskaya was visited by power agents, who came in ATCs (armoured troop carriers) and armoured cars.

"Having cordoned off the street, they entered the yard, but never presented themselves and showed no documents. Faces of virtually all of them were covered with cloth masks," runs the statement, which was posted on the blog ...
