One day from the life of the participants of the March of Peace

We joined the participants of the March of Peace at 10 o'clock in the morning by French time. By the moment of our reunion, the participants had overcome the distance up to the city Metz and had gone twenty more kilometers up to city Nancy.

It is the 19-th day from the beginning of the March of Peace, which has started from Paris and moves ahead in the direction of Strasbourg . The mood of participants of the March is fervent, the quantity of participants increases more and more. On the 9th of April, new participants, who had specially arrived to support us, joined the March.

The Organization "The International association for peace and human rights", which is the initiator of the given action, has already been supported by many European Public organizations. In the afternoon on the 9 th of April, 2005 , in the city Aton the Chairman of the Commission on public relations, the deputy of the Parliament of the CRI Apti Shahgiriev joined the action together with representatives of the "Parties of Chechens in Europe " and representatives of the French-Chechen association "Serlo".

About 15 o'clock , on approaches to the city Loazi, the March of peace were temporarily encamped for carrying out of the planned actions. After having some food, the participants of the March held a meeting with a journalist of the newspaper " East Republic ". By 16 o'clock the camp of the participants of the March was visited by a mission of support, by delegation of the city Loazi led by mayor Andre Favre, who offered us hospitality and help with everything necessary for the participants.

During the meeting with the delegation of the mayoralty the all-round discussion of the Russian-Chechen military-political conflict problem took place. The delegation of the mayoralty expressed solidarity with the battling Chechen people and hope for the prompt end of the war by peace means, by political negotiations. After the end of the meeting, the mayor of city invited participants of the March of Peace to the friendly breakfast, planned at 8.30 in the morning in the House of friendship of Loazi.

After the departure of the city delegation, the participants of the March spent the time remained before going to sleep in conversations and discussions on topics of the day. At 6 o'clock in the morning next day it was time for getting up in camp rise. After morning procedures the full structure of the March of Peace went to the House of friendship for the friendly breakfast arranged by the mayor of city in honor of participants of the action.

During the morning reception, which passed in warm and friendly conditions, the mayor of Loazi presented a symbol of the city to the March - a plate with a picture of the key of the city Loazi, and also presented us badges with the emblem of the city and stated his wish after the end of the war to establish brotherhood with one of the Chechen cities. After the reception in the mayoralties of Loazi, the March of Peace moved by the planned route in the direction of city Nancy .

One of the days of life of the participants of the March of Peace was such. According to the plans of the organizing committee, on the 25 th of April, the March of Peace should approach Strasbourg and break be encamped for two days in a vicinity of the city so that everybody, wishing to take part in the closing stage, could join us. In connection with shortage tents and marching stock, the organizing committee recommends having tents and top priorities.

In the morning of the 27 th of April, the March of Peace will move to the final point - to the Council of Europe.
