A Draft The Georgian Parliament Will Vote On During Next Session
The following for committees of the Parliament of Georgia have met in Tbilisi in 19, May, 2011 and decided to present a draft for voting during next Parliament session: 1) DIASPORA AND CAUCASUS ISSUES COMMITTEE. 2)HUMAN RIGHTS AND CIVIL INTEGRATION COMMITTEE. 3)EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND CULTURE COMMITTEE.
4) LEGAL ISSUES COMMITTEE.

On
the Recognition of Genocide of Circassians by the Russian Empire
Recalling the colonial policy of the
Russian Empire towards Circassians during the Russo-Caucasus war (1763-1864),
when the Russian political and military leadership planned and executed ethnic
cleansing of Circassian territories,
subsequently settling the
territories with other ethnic groups;
Recalling
the fact that as a result of multiple punitive military expeditions, more than
90% of the Circassian population was annihilated;
Recalling

Sudden Russian Conferences On Circassia 
Throughout imperial history, occupying and colonizing countries that
assume domination and practice of absolute rule and authority in order to
change the reality, features and landmarks in all walks of life of the
colonized nations aim to the farthest extent possible, from the outset to the
exclusion of the indigenous people to bear the responsibility for governing
themselves by themselves, unless the subjugated nation opposes such
authoritarian policy, which tend to force and compel the greedy and covetous
State to comply with ambitions to the demands of freedom to choose own destiny
that necessarily would lead to independence.

There is "a significant lobby” within the Georgian Parliament pushing for recognizing 19th century massacre and deportations of Circassians by the Tsarist Russia in the northwest Caucasus as "genocide,” a ruling party lawmaker told Civil.ge on May 11. The Parliament may take decision on the issue during the current spring session, said MP Nugzar Tsiklauri, who chairs the parliamentary committee on diaspora and Caucasus issues. He said that the committee would hold a hearing tentatively on Friday to listen "to final conclusion of academic circles” on this issue and after that the matter would move on the phase of "political decision.” "I will not hide, that there is a serious and a significant lobby within the Parliament. Appeal to the Parliament of Georgia - Circassian Forum of Jordan- As a Result of the Russian aggression on the Circassian homeland and its people, the sons of this people had suffered from one of the biggest displacements in the history of mankind, and one of the ugliest tactics of genocide, in which millions of Circassians were killed during the war and the displacement of coercive. These events reflect grievous reality that anyone can see their effect on the Circassian people’s authenticity today, with the fact that Circassians in their historic homeland are representing only 10%, while the majority of them which represent 90% of the people live in exile.
