A few days ago ended with a meeting between Minister of Diaspora Affairs of Georgia and Uednenom Uorkyzh, chairman of the Circassian Congress in Israel. From a brief conversation with Uednenom I learned that it was in, basically, the cooperation of Georgian and Circassian organizations in North America (Canada, USA), as well as in Russia. Stressed the need for a more extended process of inclusion in the Israeli Diaspora. Uednen stressed that the interaction between the Circassians and Georgians are possible only within the legal field.
The Minister said that the Circassian question formed quite a powerful lobby in the Georgian parliament, and there is every chance that the genocide will be recognized (even until May 21!). Of more long-term perspective discussed a smooth, gradual lobbying Circassian issue in the Knesset, Israel: 1) based on powerful evidence base Outreach with deputatapmi Knesset (brochures, explanations, advice, etc.) 2) search for members / party / bloc ready to initiate a bill recognizing the genocide of Circassians, and 3) the actual raising of the stage in the press, media, and then vote in the Knesset. It should be noted that in Israel there is already a precedent for the Circassian issue: May 21, was a day off "to choose" (opred. categories of people have, by virtue of a collective agreement, an additional weekend / holiday day of the year.
