Circassians Eligible to Restore Legitimate Rights

Circassia had been officially occupied and colonized by the Russian state since the 21^st of May, 1864, which declared that Circassia officially had lost the war against the Russian occupying forces after entire occupation that inflicted killings and destruction with no pity or mercy. The occupation had dragged its feet in solving the Circassian issues throughout the past decades, with no sign of any Russian solution in the horizon for hopes and wishes, while the Circassian homeland contains and hosts only 10% of world’s total Circassians, which is still divided and fragmented, so that part of it includes three Circassian and other minorities republics in addition to inhabitants from different origins and races such as the Russians and Cossacks that were brought by the colonizers to settle instead of the Circassians who were either massacred, displaced or deported.

The Russian corruption is inevitably linked to the occupation of the colonized Circassian and the North Caucasus land with all what is related to the puppets and all overt and hidden KGB/FSB agencies and their agents and spies. Russian corruption, propaganda and the acquisition on the decision of the International Olympic Committee to hold the Sochi Winter Olympic Games on the soil of genocide in the last Circassian capital city of Sochi is obvious and all indications confirm that.

World media especially the Western part is urged to be fair and to mentionthe atrocities Circassians had to go through when the mighty imperial Russian armies had stormed Circassia by the use of mercenaries and criminals who occupied the Circassian homeland, inflicted heavy losses that reached to the degree of genocide, destroyed, robbed and burnt properties and livestock, changed the demographic status of the territories, renamed all places and even wiped the name Circassia from the map, beside the deportation of 90% of the Circassians which are living nowadays in more than 30 countries of the world.

No Circassian would be proud of what Putin had done or he is still doing in regard to silencing people and allowing killing journalists and human rights activists, in Circassian Land, the North Caucasus, and other parts of Russia, beside other human rights breaches, as Council of Europe had declared in 31, May, 2010 from Strasbourg that human rights in the North Caucasus: the most serious situation in the geographical area of the Council of Europe! Circassians are annoyed that the Russian Secret Services are reaching the Circassians in Diaspora for incitement and stretch of Russian propaganda in regard to spreading the poisonous Russian lies.

Circassians and other nations occupied by Russia got no interest of what the Russians are intending to do, whether in Antarctica, Moldova, Central Asia or anywhere else. Those people are looking to restore their freedom and the legitimate rights of self-determination that would certainly lead to national independence. A person, who doesn’t know what freedom is, definitely wouldn’t know what this kind of talk means! If Russia needs land and territory, Alaska would have not been sold to USA for four million dollars!!!

The problem that Russia wants to occupy the land of others for as long time as possible, to ignore human rights issues and to disregard freedom of opinion, and at the same time to pretend that it is a modern and civilized state, which is apparently, seems not possible because "action talks louder than words”.

In fact Circassians waited more than 145 years for solving the Circassian Question and wanted in recent tens of years to be granted peaceful return to their homeland, but there is no need to explain what was Russia’s treatment for the very few number of returnees who were deceived by the Russian misinformation and they were either robbed of their money and possessions, killed, beaten, humiliated or even deported such as Haci Bayram Bolat case who had to reach the European and even the Russian courts to complain against the Russian authorities that had deported him while he was wearing his pajamas and slippers! When he won the case in court and returned to Nalchik, he was deported again (expelled back). Unfortunately the Circassian nation is afflicted at homeland and at Diaspora with collaborationist organizations and individuals who are working for dividing Circassians rather than unite and assemble their efforts.

It doesn’t seem in any way that the Circassians will be able to return home and live under the flag that was the banner of the murderers and occupiers, but the return should be accomplished under an international plan, and a coverage that would guard them and would help them to be safe and protected from any harm, beside securing their civil rights.

Circassians believe in the civilized nonviolent ways and means and they want their basic and legitimate rights in their homeland restored, and they want Russia to recognize the Circassian genocide, abide by theInternational Law, to adopt the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to follow and implement the recommendations and decisions of the United Nations Commission of Decolonization, because there is only one Circassian choice that is to restore the justifiable and valid rights.
