Head of Kayakent ROVD wounded by explosion in Dagestan

Late at night on November 25 unidentified persons threw a grenade into the car of the head of the Kayakent ROVD (District Interior Division) in Dagestan; the militiaman was slightly wounded, as reported by regional law enforcement bodies.

"Around 11:00 p.m. Moscow time, in the Kayakent District of the republic, unidentified criminals threw a grenade into the car of the district militia head," said the source. "The explosion caused a slight contusion of the militiamen, who was hospitalized; his life is out of danger."

According to a source from local law enforcement bodies, an operative group is examining the place of the incident, trying to clear out the details of the incident and seek the attackers, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
