Reuters Keeps Spreading Russian Propaganda Lies

In a report from Jokhar today; Reuters said "large-scale fighting has stopped in Chechnya and Moscow has managed to kill rebel President Aslan Maskhadov and rebel warlord, Shamil Basayev, Russia's most wanted man. Russian forces and local allies control most of Chechnya, and dozens of rebels have turned in weapons under an amnesty".
This information is far from being true.
First, Aslan Maskhadov was not a "rebel President". He was a legally elected State President of an independent state, the Chechen Republic of Ichheria. The free democratic elections took place under the auspices of international community and were recognized by every country in the world, including the UK and Russia.
Second, Shamil Basayev was not a "rebel warlord" but a Vice President and Defense Minister of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
