September, 9, 2005 About the memorable meeting in Vilnius concerning 14th anniversary of independence of Chechnia September, 5, 2005 in Vilnius the assembly of representatives of the public of the city, devoted to a 14-anniversary of independence of the Chechen Republic Ichkeria was held. Members of the Diet of Lithuania have taken part in the meeting, signatures of the Act of restoration of independence of the Lithuanian Republic, famous politicians and public figures, scientists, art workers and many others. September, 9, 2005 The form of address of Assembly of Protection of Sovereignty of CHRI Dear compatriots! Brothers and sisters! Today it has exactly 14 years passed since we got the independence of the Chechen State proclaimed in september, 6, 1991 by the National Congress of Chechen People. Practically through the whole period till 1994 a criminal military-political regime of Russia realized the revanchist plan for the destruction of the Chechen State and a genocide of its people, and in november, 26, 1994 completed the prospecting sortie against our native land. During the fierce 6-hour fight the ground forces of an aggressor were defeated totally, and the military mechinary, and outfit were completely destroyed. From this moment these provocative sorties have developed into open aggression of Russia against the Chechen State, and December, 11, 1994 Russia, ignoring earlier achieved agreements, occupied territory of the independent state of CHRI. September, 9, 2005 In America there will be the demonstration devoted to the Day of independence of CHRI The Boston Chechens are going to carry out the demonstration devoted to the Day of independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. It is informed by the Press-service of Assembly of Protection of Sovereignty of CHRI, referring to representatives of this organization in USA. In september, 6 the Chechens who have found a temporary asylum in America will gather at entrance to Boston, and with organized column will pass through the city with the Chechen flags and posters. Demonstrators in process of progress of a column will scan the slogans calling for solidarity with Chechen people, for the termination of bloody war in the Chechen Republic and for the recognition of independence of CHRI. The Day of Independence of CHRI was celebrated in Georgia
In Georgia, in Pankisski gorge where ethnic Chechens-Kists live and the majority of refugees of the Chechen Republic is placed, in solemn environment have passed the memorable actions devoted to Day of Independence of the Chechen state.
The organizer of actions was the Chechen representative in Georgia Khizri Aldamov. To congratulate Chechens the anniversary of independence, arrived the Georgian members of parliament from fraction " Independent Chechen Republic ", and also numerous representatives of the Georgian public. After an official part, the Chechen religious practice "sag1a" was accomplished with distribution of meat among who required it, and were, according to the Caucasian custom, carried out horse gallop with prizes to winners.
