10.05.2005 Chechen supporting meetings in Tokyo and Kumamoto The Saturday evening May 7, in two Japanese cities Chechen supporters meeting were held. In Japanese capital Tokyo, co-organizers, the Citizen Peace Funds (CPF) and the Editorial Room Chechen-News held a series meeting «WHAT IS HAPPENING IN CHECHNYA» and this time two reporters told on their experiences toward about 60 participants. Miss Kaori SHU, young refugee’s supporter told on her activity in Tokyo for some Kurd refugees families. According to her report, Japanese governmental policy to refugees is a typical hypocrisy. One side Japanese government contributing to UNHCR the largest amount of yearly allotment however accepts refugees from abroad only 10 — 15 persons per year! Moreover, offences against UNHCR recognition of refugees status, extraditing refugees to their country. Miss SHU went to check recently extradited Kurd families from Japan to Turkey. «Your words of greeting will sound like a justification of murder..» On May 10, the Chechen news agencies ran a commentary on the U.S. president's decision to attend the Victory Day commemoration, which included a military parade on Red Square. It noted that President Bill Clinton traveled to Moscow in 1995 to attend the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Victory Day, but did not attend the main military parade at Poklonnaya Gora in western Moscow in order to avoid being seen as endorsing the first military campaign in Chechnya, which was then six months old. 13.05.2005 Chechnya overridden A Russian combat infantry vehicle from an Itum-Kali military commandant’s office column going towards Grozny on 11 May suddenly moved into the opposite lane and ran into a Volga GAZ 3110 car in which four civilians were going. The accident occurred on the Grozny-Shatoi motorway near Starye Atagi, Grozny district, leading to a 14-year-old girl dying, while her mother Raisa Magomayeva, a local resident, her 9-year-old son, and the driver, Magomed Khachukayev, sustained serious injuries and are currently in a grave condition (the driver in intensive care) in a Grozny hospital. The blame for the accident is on the Russian military men, an officer at Chechnya’s Internal Affairs Ministry told Caucasian Knot. Eyewitnesses say the combat infantry vehicle tried to go away from the scene, but was stopped by Chechen police officers and residents of Starye Atagi who blocked the motorway.
