Czech and Russian Presidents discussed the situation in Chechnya
PRAGUE, 3 March, Caucasus Times. During his official visit to Czech Republic Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed a number of issues related to the situation in Chechnya with his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus.

Speaking at a press conference after his negotiations with Czech President Vaclav Klaus Vladimir Putin indicated that a wide range of issues have been discussed. Responding to journalists’ questions on whether the situation in Chechnya has been touched upon during their talks, Putin pointed out that “we discussed in details both the situation in Chechnya and an issue of democracy”.

Kavkaz Center: Senate Houses Conference On Situation In Chechnya

Senate houses conference on situation in Chechnya

The current situation in Chechnya and foreign aid to this country will be discussed at a conference that will be held in the Senate, the upper house of the Czech parliament.

The conference is organised by the Berkat civic association and senator Jaromir Stetina (for the Greens) who worked in the area as a journalist.

The conference aims to acquaint the public with the situation in North Causasus and debate Chechen-Russian relations and the events occurring in Chechnya in the last several years.

Stetina informed about the conference on Wednesday when Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Prague. Stetina said that it is Putin who has the "political responsibility for the genocide of the Chechen nation and for the suppression of freedom of speech and democracy in Russia."

February 27 - Magomed Chakhkiyev, Ingush MP and father-in-law of Ingushetiya's President Murat Zyazikov, was kidnapped from his car by unknown armed men in Nazran.

February 28 - Alu Alkhanov, the Moscow-backed Chechen President, received a letter of resignation from Chechen Premier Sergei Abramov, who has been recovering from the wounds he sustained in a car accident in Moscow in November 2005.

February 28 - Danish Refugee Council (DRC) will soon resume its humanitarian operations in Chechnya, said Per Ilsaas, DRC's country director for Russia. DRC had to stop its Chechnya operations three weeks ago following a ban by the Moscow-backed Chechen officials.

Widow and a daughter of Ahmad Kadyrov had a traffic accident in Chechnya
CHECHNYA, 6 March, Caucasus Times. Chechen Interior Minister Ruslan Alkhanov told that a car with the widow of the killed Chechen President Ahmad Kadyrov Aimani and his daughter Zulai had a traffic accident in Chechnya.

According to Chechen Interior Minister, Aimani Kadyrova and Zulai Kadyrova were just slightly wounded as a result of a traffic accident. Both women received necessary medical assistance. At present, they are at their home in the village of Tsentoroi.

Ruslan Alkhanov noticed that traffic accident happened in Gudermes district of Chechnya. Circumstances and details of the accident are being clarified

"About preparation to spring-and-summer campaign."

In the name of Allah Gracious and Merciful!

In connection with necessity of strengthening of a military-political component of armed Forces of CHRI, according to the authorized plan of military actions for the spring-and-summer period,

I enact:

All commander of fronts and sectors to start preparation:

- For the next set of volunteers in zones of the responsibility of fronts and sectors;
- For maintenance of them with all necessary military equipment;  
- For accommodation of updating on military bases.

The control of performance of the given Decree I leave behind myself. The decree inures from the date of signing.
