RIA Novosti reported that day that a total of 24 law enforcement officers died in the attack along with ten civilians, while Ekho Moskvy radio quoted the press secretary of Kabardino-Balkarian President Arsen Kanokov as saying that the bodies of ten civilians killed in the attack had been identified while another two bodies remained unidentified. As it is known, in Poland there was very much intense situation with the Chechen refugees. Within the framework of the complex checks which were carried out in common of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of CHRI, the European structures and number NPO, the head foreign policy departments of CHRI set out with working visit to Poland.

This figure includes women and 32 children, and their number increases each year. Back in 2003, eleven women had contracted AIDS, but since then this figure has increased seven-fold. According to Aydamirova, only 15% of the population has been tested for AIDS so it is highly possible that the actual figure could be much higher. She added that the AIDS problem would become even worse because blood testing was soon to be halted and thereafter the Center’s doctors would no longer be able to test patients’ blood for AIDS.
