MOSCOW. Jan 20 (Interfax) - A second roundtable on Chechen problems under the auspices of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) is to take place in the Chechen capital of Grozny, a senior State Duma deputy said on Friday.
However, the date for the roundtable has not yet been set, he said.
Konstantin Kosachyov, chairman of the State Duma International Affairs Committee, made the announcement at a news conference in Moscow.
The first roundtable on Chechnya was held in Strasbourg, France, on March 21, 2005. Participants included Chechen leaders, State Duma deputies, PACE members and Russian human rights activists Svetlana Gannushkina of the Memorial center and Tatyana Lokshina of the Demos center.
