Chechens never forget genocide commited by Russia...
To Mr. Avigdor Lieberman,
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel
June 7, 2010
I certify my respects to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and have the honor to declare a decisive protest against your irresponsible statements according to the tragedies in the Mediterranean Sea, killing at least nine people out of humanitarian convoy.
As the world's media reports today, you, Mr. Lieberman, state: "The organizers of the humanitarian convoy are those who previously supported the Chechen separatists and at the moment maintain relations with the Chechen guerrillas”.
It is possible that after this "declaration" you, Mr. Lieberman will get the Prime Minister of Russia’s compliments, who is accused by the Chechen people for crimes against humanity. Nevertheless, I have the honor to remind you of a very simple rule: "You can not be sure that you get everything that you have already paid for, but you must be certain that you absolutely have to pay for what you already received”. And on this basis, we are confident that you will not receive any long-term benefits from participation in this game.
We regularly receive information of similar statements, where some politicians of many countries trying to justify their political mistakes appeal to the so-called "Chechen card". And your "next action" is only a pity. But coming back to your "compliment" addressing to my people I have to get you upset by the fact that such kind of steps are not in a position to compel Russian leaders and other supporters of HAMAS to refuse meeting and supporting this organization. I can not put into a question sovereign rights of any state to control its own territory, according to internationally recognized rules. Moreover, I acknowledge that some leaders of the Palestinian Authority’s behavior and fate are definitely an internal affair of Israel. However, let me remind you, Mr. Minister, that the hostages of the previous and present blockades are the ordinary people of Palestine, who deserve a better fate.
Your regular quotes with references to my nation, which survived over the past centuries regular acts of genocide, smell like Nazism, while even a harmless reference to your nation causes your unbridled outburst of emotions and resentments. How should we, the Chechens, react? Anticipating your attempts to justify your own intensions, I can tell you right away: the Chechens never fight either against the Russians or other peoples. We only defend our freedom from despots which are out of a human face, while you were just given your freedom. And we appreciate the freedom of any people.
I firmly believe that you know the very essence of our tragic problems and aspirations, so I can not agree with the monopoly on genocide. No political or religious rhetoric makes us to abandon freedom because, first of all, it would be a betrayal our ancestors and future generations. At the end of it all there are principles of universal human rights, and you refuse us in possession of them.
I would like to remind you the legal aspects, so much inconvenient for those who support war criminals, who are your friends and supporters of HAMAS: "A crime against humanity and acts of genocide has no statute of limitations. Any person, regardless of race and occupation, directly or indirectly, consciously bearing an accused party, may be recognized as an accomplice of the accused party. "I am pleased to remark that your point of view is not shared by your countrymen. Thousands of Jews all over the world are not afraid to support our struggle for independence and openly help my people, both on the territory of the Chechen Republic and outside it.
Well, I can not refuse myself to remind you a small story: during the period of my people’s deportation in 1944, thousands of looters of all the nationalities poured on my shattered homeland for looking for profits that remain after "a light walk” of the NKVD. Only one people did not take even a rusty nail. This people were Jews. We convey our ancestors, a Rabbi called all the Jews lived in the Republic and told them: "The fate of this nation is similar to the fate of our nation, and we always lived with locals in peace. So, that of you who is found guilty of stealing the property of this people will be cursed and banished by me and our community”.
You try to steal from us, Mr. Lieberman, the dearest value that is the right of Liberty and perspectives of justice on the war criminals. And may God grant your wise people to evaluate your acts as former Rabbi from the Chechen Republic bequeathed to do.
On this occasion, Mr. Minister, let me wish your people peace and prosperity.
