Kadyrov follows in steps of Shanibov and Basaev
25/12/2009 04:25

The Club of Experts was not surprised by involvement of the Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov into anti-Georgian campaign launched in Russia. After all, Russian security services have a rich tradition of playing off Caucasian peoples against each other. They never bothered to change methods. Old, well-proven methods almost always succeeded. Neither did they ever lack those who implemented their plans. Though, as a rule, "pupils" of Russian security services after some time usually went against their masters.

Today Kadyrov (hopefully without comprehension) has agreed to play the same role as Musa Shanibov, Shamil Basaev and several other North Caucasian leaders played before the start of the conflict in Abkhazia. These people and many of their misguided by their propaganda "militants" stepped over traditional brotherhood of Caucasian peoples where a special place was occupied by Georgians, and got involved in the war where brother was killing a brother. Our North Caucasian brothers understood too late that they had made a huge mistake. Meanwhile Russians did their job.

Now they are again spinning intrigues, and again want to set North Caucasians against Georgia. This time Kadyrov was selected for this job. We advise him to look back at recent history, and if he does not know he should ask what danger was facing Georgia when it gave refuge to several thousand refugees expelled from Chechnya as a result of Russian aggression. Georgia provided shelter for them when the country itself had 300 thousand refugees from Abkhazia. And it this Abkhazian refugee situation not a small role was played by Chechen militants. Despite this, Georgians have never made a single reproach.

We forgave Chechens for their involvement in Russia's adventure. As for Kadyrov we are confident that Russia will tolerate him exactly as long as long as he is needed. After that we'll see...
