MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Isa Yamadayev who became the head of the
influential Yamadayev clan in Chechnya after his brothers Ruslan and
Sulim were murdered in Moscow and the United Arab Emirates respectively
survived a road accident near Moscow.
A source in law enforcement told Interfax that the Mercedes C-600
in which Yamadayev was traveling collided headlong with a Nissan Almera
at 1:30 p.m. in Mozhaiskoye highway.
The accident was caused by the driver of the Nissan who drove to
the opposite lane. Yamadayev survived the accident unharmed because his
car was armored.
The passenger in the Nissan died. The driver was rushed to a
hospital in the town of Odintsovo in critical condition and doctors are
now trying to save his life.
The source said that talking to law enforcers Yamadayev did not
rule out that the collision may not have been accidental but planned.
However, the source said that the circumstances of the accident
indicate that traffic rules had been crudely broken
Interfax has not obtained official confirmation of the information
