FOOTHOLDS, OR AN IDEOLOGY OF SLAVERY
July, 1st 2009

SNA CHECHENPRESS, Publications and Media Section, 19/06/09

We are not going to hold a debate with the Kremlin’s puppets, the likes of Kadyrov, in this study. Nor do we plan to polemicise with smaller scale sidekicks, all those former Ichkeriytsy [supporters of the state of Ichkeriya] who have joined the enemy camp and have ?seen the error of their ways”. For every word we write or utter to refute their slavish arguments equates us, albeit in a virtual way, with their opponents and we have no desire to serve as such, InshAllah. In other words, what could free Nochkho Muslims talk about with people whose slavish mind obscures every human trait the Аlmighty Allah has endowed us with? All that comes from their foul mouths are some texts which they have memorised and which they have been allowed to recite before the general public by their masters from the Kremlin and from Lubyanka.†

Moreover, we all bear witness to the fact that having unleashed the entire military might of the Russian army against the Chechen people, our enemies did not succeed in a physical destruction of the Chechens who were fighting for their independence. We know well and we are proud of our people’s history. The history steeped in the centuries old valour of an unbroken people. The Chechens could be defeated in a war but nobody would ever succeed in breaking us, InshAllah! There is no point in recounting here the entire history of the Chechen nation’s liberation struggle, well known to all of us and to Russia, our eternal enemy. We shall dwell instead on our recent history, namely, those events, which took place after the re-creation of the Chechen state.

In the autumn and winter 1994 Russia came down on the Chechen people with the whole might of its army. Chechnya was razed to the ground but the Chechen people survived that ordeal and dealt a decisive blow to the largest country in the world. Russia had to make itself scarce and crawl back into its northern den. This was followed by a ‘Peace Treaty’ signed on 12 May 1997 by the presidents of Chechnya and Russian Federation, which was to be used as a smokescreen for Russia’s future vengeful plans. Russia had ‘learned’ the lesson it had been taught by the Chechen people and so prepared well for its next act of aggression. Namely, by the summer of 1999 the Russian special services had involved almost all the former FSB “sleeper” agents, headed by A.Kadyrov, on the one hand, and brothers M.Udugov and I.Umarov, on the other, in their preparations for an invasion оf Chechnya. We shall not present here the entire timeline of those events, but dwell on the vital – ideological – aspect. As has been mentioned earlier, Russia realised that it could not defeat the Chechen people by force. From then on Moscow’s main priority was to defeat Chechnya ideologically. Russia needed to impose a totally alien, completely incompatible type of thinking onto the Chechen mindset. On the one hand, our own “Chechens” (Kadyrovs, Zavagaevs, Gantemirovs etc) were trying to “expose ” to us the bankruptcy and the mistake of the attempt to build an independent state in a contemporary world. On the other hand, the pseudo-ideologists of Islam (M.Udugov, I. Umarov and others) were trying to inculcate in us the conviction that we had drifted away from the true values of Islam and that our salvation was in trying to follow them. Having prepared this ground all Russia needed was a well-argued pretext for an intervention in Chechnya. In fact, it had already been hatched by the brothers M.Udugov and I.Umarov in the shape of the Congress of the Chechen and Dagestani Peoples, a true brainchild of the FSB. The pretext was there, and with the cries “Aggression against Russia!!!”, Russia moved to occupy the Chechen state, taking no notice of the international community.

In order to put its plan into practice Russia carried out a policy of total intimidation of the Chechen people. The scale and methods used in these atrocities against an innocent people are too terrible for words. This was the moment for the former mufti of the ChRI A.Kadyrov, appointed by Moscow to the post of the “President of Chechnya” to come forward before the people as their “saviour”. At some point Kadyrov was given the green light to talk about the outrages committed by the Russian military, about some sort of “human rights in Chechnya”. He began to talk about the renaissance of the “genuine traditions of the Chechen people”, new jobs were being created little by little, wages and pensions were being paid more or less on time. In other words, this was the implementation of the age-old model of enslaving and creating a slavish psyche - the carrot and stick approach. If anyone got carried away however, even a little, he was quickly destroyed to teach the rest a lesson, which was what happened to Kadyrov himself.

Putin’s speech about Akhmat Kadyrov’s death had been pre-written because the head of state could not have put together such a speech literally within half an hour after the event. This proves that Putin had known in advance that Akhmat Kadyrov would be assassinated. Ramzan could not have known the real killer of his father at that moment. But there is no doubt that today he knows who it was.

Let us return, however, to the present situation. Kadyrov junior does understand even after a head spinning euphoria of establishing himself as the “father of the nation” that he and his puppet regime are propped up entirely by a slavish mindset. So he tries to get recognition by persuading people that the idea of an independent Ichkeriya is no longer viable, that it was an error and that all the ChRI leaders have been motivated by the “self-serving aspirations to get rich and to lord over the people”. In order to support such allegations he brings together all kinds of ‘defeatists’ and traitors from all over the world. But the ‘traitor complex’ which is deeply entrenched in him and his entourage is made even more obvious by this farce, and they can never efface their lackey souls of this complex. Drunk with the feeling of his own impunity, Ramzan Kadyrov does not seem to realise the obvious: the spirit of the Chechen people cannot be broken by shameful deeds and the toady position of some individuals, especially of such people as Bai-Ali Tevsiev, Lam-Ali Alsultanov, Kazbek Makhashev, the Khambiev brothers, Shaa Turloev and others. Our people know well not to trust the words of these co-called ‘heroes’. This is why by setting up these spectacles Kadyrov has achieved the reverse: in his shows he parades before us individuals whose obsequious behaviour in front of the ‘Chechen Stalin’ runs counter to every aspect and every norm of our national psyche.

The Chechens can see these derisive people sinking very low, engaging in lackey-like behaviour and automatically joining the ranks of eternal pariahs, traitors of the Chechen nation. What we are witnessing is a pitiful spectacle of turning time-servers into R.Kadyrov’s personal slaves.

R.Kadyrov has often claimed and he forces others like him to claim as well that A.Maskhadov’s (Allah g’azot k’obajdojla tsu’na!) declaration of jikhad in Chechnya does not agree with Islam. He must know, however, that this is a lie, and will therefore never find peace in his heart because his subconscious would always remind him that he is a traitor.

Apart from the puppet regime that the Kremlin has installed in the shape of Kadyrov, who has been trying to openly demonize the heroes of the Chechen nation, there is yet another category of traitors. Their aim is to denigrade the idea of the national liberation struggle of the Chechen people by persuading the people that this idea is ‘no longer effective’, it has ‘outlived itself’ etc. In other words, calling for a more effective strategy of fighting the enemy these people in fact undermine this struggle from within.

When they talk about it they try to conceal their treachery behind the catchwords of Islam, attempting to convince us that the present generation would not accept the historic aspiration of the Chechen people to have their own independence. In order to fulfill their goal set for them by the same Kremlin-Lubyanka spin-doctors who control the puppet ‘government’ in Chechnya they have started to install false premises in people’s minds. Once again the part of the ‘Saviours’ is to be played by the same ‘geniuses’ of the Chechen nation, brothers Isa Umarov and Movladi Udugov.

These enemies of our people are attempting to distort the essence of the independence idea, to reduce it to the level of ‘nationalism’ in order to confer a guise of anti-Islamism on to it. Udugov adds a slightly different hue to the picture of the present struggle for freedom. In his words:

“The classic formula of the national liberation struggle no longer serves as a source of motivation for fighting the occupants.” “ Young people who have put their faith in Allah’s promises and the saving power of Jikhad have taken over from the people who quite sincerely went out to fight under the banners of national liberation. In other words, independence is no longer an abstract. In the past it was seen as the only and the final goal.”

Udugov is lying, of course, which is typical of him. For the Chechen morals were formed and were built on the traditions of Islam, so we need an independent state in order to adhere to Islam in our public and our private lives.
Freedom has always had and has a broader and deeper meaning for the Chechens; it is a condition for implementing the Sharia laws. This idea was very succinctly formulated by one of our compatriots, a hero of the national liberation struggle Shamil Basaev.

These masked enemies of our nation are trying to present our struggle for independence as an outmoded idea and in this they are completely identical with the puppet regime of Kadyrov. The identical nature of these two categories of traitors can be explained by the fact that the Russian spin-doctors have set them a task to destroy the very idea of the national liberation struggle by making it sound “a political folly’, on the one hand, and by presenting it as ‘a throwback to the Djakhil anti-Islamic nationalism’.

Brothers Umarov-Udugov were chosen as main protagonists to implement the second half of this plan. Having established themselves as ‘strategic ideologues’ with Dokku Umarov, they unleashed a flood of foul mendacious accusations against the supporters of the ChRI, realising that the latter were the main obstacle to the implementation of their deceitful plan to dismantle the state of Ichkeriya from the legal point of few. Knowing of the high moral principles and the high level of competence of some of the members of the ChRI Government and Parliament, as well as their uncompromised approach to the matters of statehood, Udugov launched an outright attack against the very idea of the Chechen state, trying to present the ChRI as an entity “at variance with the canons of Islam”. Having impressed this “revelation” on the ordinary Chechens Udugov could then proceed to tarnish the “tagut supporters”, in other words, supporters of the state of Ichkeriya.

This was easily done in relation to D.Umarov who declared all his former comrades-in-arms “two-faced scoundrels”, without any prior negotiations. The path was now free for Udugov’s “professional activities” in lies, denunciations and slander and the ChRI Parliamentary Chairman Zhaloudi Saralyapov, the ChRI Prime Minister Akhmed Zakaev and all the MPs who remained faithful to the Chechen state became the first targets of his attacks. They were quickly followed by Uvais Akhmadov, who, unexpectedly for Udugov, did not yield to this pseudo-Islamic demagoguery and spoke out from the position of the inviolability of the Chechen people’s struggle for independence.

Let us now ask ourselves a question: what is the difference, in that case, between the Kremlin’s official puppet Ramzan Kadyrov and the pseudo ideologues of Islam brothers M.Udugov and I.Umarov? There is no difference, apart from the verbal demagoguery, because all the three are united in their hatred of the Chechen state. All of them have the same paymasters and patrons, namely, Russia. All the three pour tons of verbal muck onto the leaders of the ChRI, namely, Zh.Saralyapov and A.Zakaev, although we all know that they are not interested in them personally. What they are scared of is the legitimate continuity of power in the ChRI, which the latter represent, and which neither Kadyrov, nor the two brothers have managed to extinguish. Most importantly, what unites all three is the total absence of purity of intent, of a bright idea, which the nation could rally round: Kadyrov’s idea is slavedom, the two brothers idea is built around lies and is based on the fraudulent interpretation of Islam.

Yet, Allahmdalillah, the Chechen mindse is not a surrogate, and soon, InshAllah, everything will come right.
Allahu Akbar!
Allahu Akbar!
Allahu Akbar!
