Forgery: Who elected Prime Minister of “Euro-Ichkeria
Publication time: Today at 11:23 Djokhar time
The chosen method of "telephone voting" in order to find a Prime Minister of "Euro-Ichkeria" is not the only odd thing. The chairman Saralyapov seems to have forgotten who are the deputies of the Parliament. The step between theory and practice in democracy seems to be very high; thus the concept of democracy is left to statements only.
Zakaev has publicly announced that there are 41 deputies, and 21 are living in Europe. Among these 21 deputies there was arranged a "telephone voting" that chose Zakaev among three candidates.
This is a modification of the truth, if we want to use a polite expression instead of calling it a simple lie.
In fact, there were 41 deputies of Parliament in the first election of Parliament in 1991. But in the election 1997 there was an intention to elect 63 members. This number of 63 was an idea of Zelimkan Yandarbiev, who chose the number from the living age of Prophet Muhammed.
Anyway, there was only 5 members of Parliament duly elected in the voting 27.1.1997. In the rest of districts the amount of voters was not big enough according to the law. The second round was arranged 15.2.1997, then there was elected 27 more deputies. Anyway, 33 deputies was not enough for establishing a quorum for the Parliament. The solution was found in a decision by the Central Election Commission of the ChRI, which appointed 11 more deputies despite deficiencies. This decision was caused by political expediency, as the republic did not have the resources to fund an additional campaign of parliamentary by-elections. Later on there were elections in individual constituencies, and the deputies numbered finally altogether 58.
Among these members of Parliament, 12 deputies are so-to-say active in Europe today. What happened to the rest of Ichkerian parlamentarians? Some have died in the fight for a free Chechnya, some have went over to the side of the Russian occupier and some have been suspended from office:
- 11 deputies have been killed in fight or died otherwise
- 21 live in the territory of Russia or occupied Chechnya
- 14 have been suspended from their duties because of treasury
- 12 are "active" in Europe
Thus, the Parliament has today 33 members alive, among these 12 deputies in Europe. Actually, there are more than 12 former deputies living in Europe, because here live also some of the suspended deputies.
The list of officially suspended 14 members is as follows:
1. ABDURAHMANOV, Suleiman. Suspended from the Parliament for activities in favour of betrayal of the Chechen people, criminal proceedings have been initiated.
2. ATAEV, Hasan. Suspended from the Parliament for activities in favour of betrayal of the Chechen people, criminal proceedings have been initiated.
3.AKHMEDOV Magomed. Suspended from the parliament, criminal proceedings initiated under article of treason.

14. SHAHGIRIEV Apti. Denied immunity, criminal proceedings have been instituted. He created abroad a so-called "democratic faction" of the CHRI Parliament and thus entered the path of betrayal the interests of the Chechen people.
The Shahgiriev group of the Parliament numbered at least 7 deputies (about double amount of Saralyapov-Zakaev group). Shahgiriev was dismissed in September 2005 by a decree of the Parliament (actually by Saralyapov) because of creating a so-called "government" which was supposed to be founded by means of Western special services and thus they were guilty of "treason in wartime conditions" (Chechenpress 30.9.2005).
Those 21 deputies who live in Russia but still are members of the Parliament are:
