December 6 New York (USA) PEN American Center, the Committee to Protect Journalists, and Center for the Humanities, the Graduate Center, CUNY present "The Writer's Conscience: Remembering Anna Politkovskaya and Russia’s Forgotten War". The presenter is Professor Marshall Goldman (Associate Director, Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, Harvard University), the discussant Lana Ekimoff (Director of Russian and Eurasian Affairs, U.S. Department of Energy). December 18 Moscow (Russia) Moscow's Presnensky Court will consider on the merits of the claim lodged by 41 residents of the Chechen village of Borozdinovskaya to the Russian Ministry of Defence because of the June 2005 incident, in which one resident one killed and 11 other residents kidnapped.
