OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Belgian Foreign Minister Karel de Gucht was one of the first who has expressed his satisfaction on news about Shamil Basayev's death.
"Basayev's death in its own right is a good work, - said in Karel de Gucht's special statement, who has considered it important to state his pleasure publicly.
He also exressed a hope that in "the near future the situation will stabilized in Northern Caucasus and, in particular, in Chechnya".
After the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, the official representative of the Council of Europe who as well did not hide his public pleasure come up with his statement, having said that СЕ is satisfied by the news on Basayev's death.
"Such people like Basayev have no right to existence, his murder is only an advantage for our society". This is a comment of the main rabbi of Russia Adolf Shaevich.
Russian orthodox church has satisfied with the death of Shamil Basayev and has reminded that is always considered that the authority has the right to similar murders.
The president of the USA George Bush is also could't refrain and publicly welcomed the news on death of Chechen commander.
The head of Moscow Helsinki Group Ludmila Alekseeva told the Interfax news agency that "it would be magnificent, if we had caught him. But this is a rare case when a news about death of the person yout meet with satisfaction".
Meanwhile, Moscow builds the "correct" version of death of Chechen general. After the first hours of confusion and mess, the contours began to appear. The main "hero" is appointed FSB (Russian Secret Service). Patrushev's hastily sounded version though is not shining with originality, but for the Russian inhabitant is is quite edible. The head of FSB has claimed that Shamila Basayev's death was result of a certain special operation. FSB in cooperation with unknown foreign secret services, ostensibly had delivered from abroad, initially prepared explosive, which during the right moment was detonated.
The absurdity of this version is well clear to Mujahideen who have an opportunity to buy explosives and any kinds of the weapons inside the Chechnya.
At one moment Moscow has decided to start the version of pinpoint missile attack (Russian TV even has declared it). But this version had been refused because of its obvious falsity.
The more you have fog, than its better. This standard method, the Secret Services are trying to use in case of Shamila Basayev's death, who as quite obvious today, died as a result of accidental explosion of the lorry laden with explosives for special operation.
Nevertheless, the Russian propaganda floods the mass-media with all new "data" that FSB contributed to death of Chechen commander (there was even a duty canard about the infiltrated agent into Chechen commander's environment) though even some pro-Kremlin commentators fairly specify the fact that until the Shamil Basayev was not identified, nobody at all did suspect that there could be a Chechen commander among the blown up Mujahideen.
