According to the source an entire racist tendency has been formed in the Russian city. Armed and usually drunk gangs of men stroll the streets in search of a victim. One of those who had been unlucky to encounter them was a middle-aged man from Azerbaidjan. He had had a legal trade business (selling fruits and veggies on a market). One afternoon just after the closing hours a group of 8-10 men had stabbed him to death. He had left a wife and 8 children. Another case of racism on the streets of Saint Petersburg happened only a week ago. A young student from Algeria was shot in the middle of the night from a small group of racists after returning from a bar. Cases like those are almost usual in the city famous for its architectual and cultural values. In the short BBC film a Russian man, creator of a facist internet site spoke about the young people being provoked to attacked those who have darker complexion. He explained that according to the Russian society afroamericans and other quote: different people had more rights than local Russians. Apparenty some groups (racists mostly) did not like this double standart. The question whethe such double standart exists stays open for discussion. However the criminal are yet to be punished. So far no individual or group has been accused of racism or least assault and murder. Russian society had never had sympathy towards the Different. Ever since Russia was an empire it had tried to melt the numerous ethical groups. Such ethnical hate is witnessed in nowadays conflict in Chechnya and the entire Caucasus where Russian imperial desires want to subdue the native peoples. Every now and then on Russian news you can hear reports about a people from which there are only 10 people left. One can only wonder why....... I would like to make just a little hint. Hitler and his antisemitism proclaimed that no nation should live except the Germans. Putin and those before him have not OFFICIALLY proclaimed anything. But the policy they all choose is ... the same. The are trying to ''clean'' their nation from those who bare something different and unique. One can only hope they never succeed!
