GROZNY. Aug 6 (Interfax) - A criminal case has been opened against a Chechen policeman suspected of aiding and abetting guerillas by transporting weapons.
A Grozny district prosecutor's office is investigating a criminal case against a policeman from the Zavodskoi district police who is suspected of transporting firearms for illegal armed units for three months in 2005, a Chechen law enforcement source told Interfax on Saturday. The man has been placed into custody.
