On the 24 th of May, 2005 , official delegation of the CRI headed by the Minister of Health of the CRI, the General Representative of the President of the CRI abroad Umar Hanbiev carried out several meetings with deputies, parties and political groups of the Euro Parliament in Brussels .
During the meetings the delegation convinced the members of the Euro Parliament of the necessity of change the attitude of the European Union to the problem of the Russo-Chechen war with due regard for the present realities, expressed, first of all, in expansions of the bloody conflict for the whole Northern Caucasus, of what the Chechen party had repeatedly warned earlier.
The delegation of the CRI gave the real picture of the situation in the Chechen Republic and the Northern Caucasus to the European politicians and diplomats and specified a number of the reasons, which had led to the expansion the war, and there was a considerable responsibility of the world community in it, including the Council of Europe and the European Union, which took a connivance position in the question of the genocide of the Chechen people.
A huge congestion of the Russian occupational gangs in the zone of the Russo-Chechen war, violence against the local population, accompanied with the roughest infringement of human rights and impunity for crimes against humanity, caused the powerful resistance of the people of the Caucasus and poured out into an open struggle against the Russian invaders.
In this connection the President of the CRI A.-H. Sadulaev issued the Decree about a creation of the Caucasian front. Such a step was not only justified, but it is also the only correct decision, as it excludes any attempts from the Russian party to manipulate the developed situation to the detriment of the people of the Caucasus, and it also simplifies the coordination of the forces of the Resistance and the centralized management.
The official delegation of the CRI has informed the deputies of the Euro Parliament and the diplomats about the adherence of the Chechen management to the course of the peace political settlement of the war in the Chechen Republic, which already really got the character of the Russo-Caucasian war, thus having especially emphasized a full absence of political and moral aspiration for peace in the Russian management, and, it its turn, it can be the basis for an active intervention of the world community in the situation.
Also the items of the official report of the Euro Parliament, which were considered at the session of the Euro Parliament on the 26 th of May, were discussed at the meeting.
The delegation of the CRI has brought in a number of offers:
1). To condemn the barbarous murder of the President of the CRI Aslan Mashadov and to demand from the Kremlin to give out the body of Aslan Mashadov to his relatives to bury;
2). To state the legal estimation to the actions of the Russian occupational gangs roughly infringing freedom and human rights in the Chechen Republic;
3). To create an independent commission for investigation of the massacre of people in the Chechen Republic , Beslan and the "Northeast";
4). To demand from the Kremlin to admit to the territory of the Chechen Republic representatives of independent mass media and independent international experts;
5). To bring in the problem of refugees from the Chechen Republic for discussion in the Euro Parliament;
6). To consider the problem on the possibility of carrying out of the international conference about the situation in the Chechen Republic and the Northern Caucasus under the aegis of the Euro Parliament;
