TBILISI, March 3 (Itar-Tass) -- The political dialogue and normalization of
relations with Russia is a vitally important question for Georgia, the
Democratic Movement-United Georgia party said in a statement on Wednesday.
The party’s leader, former parliamentary speaker Nino Burdzhanadze has flown
to Moscow for meetings with representatives of the Russian authorities and
politicians. She is a second Georgian oppositional leader, after the leader of
the For Fair Georgia party, Zurab Nogaideli, to be meeting with Russian
politicians and officials.
Over the past weeks Burdzhanadze said more than once that she is prepared to
negotiate with Russia proceeding from the interests of Georgia.
She accused the current Georgian authorities of failing to use chances and
