Turkey is humiliated. In streets of turkish cities appeared the slogans against the entry into EU. Of course! According to world news agencies, Kondolisa Rais has persuaded the Austrian nationalists from the government in Vienna to sell Turkey for Croatia. Have sold. Now a question lays on Turks. Will they even want to become a part of the united Europe for such price?!
About 80 percents of the Austrians oppose the acceptance of Turkey in the European Community. Such are the data of sociological interrogations. The last. But there is also previous. The huge quantity of Germans, Spaniards, British and other residents of EU also do not wish to see Turks in the family of European peoples.
When it was necessary to build up post-war Germany Turks were needful there. Turks were needful also that time when there was a global opposition of the West and the East. Not the Muslim East. Soviet.
Now Turks are necessary only for Kondolisa Rais. For United States. By virtue of a global opposition of Americans with the Muslim world. Turkey - the only member of the NATO from the Muslim countries. Exactly this country rendered to Americans the greatest assistance in attack to Iraq. To lose such ally for Washington -is a suicide.
But for Europeans - they do not care. Ordinary Europeans. Among the inhabitants of Europe grows xenofobia concerning the own Muslim population which comes nearer to 10 millions. The matter is that moslems do not wish to assimilate. They devoted to their religion, speak in their languages both in the second, and in the third, and in the subsequent generations, keep each other, build mosques, women go in scarfs and long skirts. Well, in any way they do not want to becomes "authentic" Europeans!
Certainly, to the Austrian nationalists Catholic Croatia is much more important. Including as the deterrent against though also christian, but unpredictable Serbia. Same unpredictable, as well as some of its recent allies protecting military criminals such as Radko Mladich. And now thrown former "big" friend of Kremlin Miloshevich alone with the Hague tribunal.
And some more Europeans very much offend relations of Turkey with the Greek part of Cyprus. The question of the conflict to kurds for some reason remains behind brackets. Though the sizes of an opposition are not commensurable. A kurdish problem much more scale, rather than division of Cyprus into two half. Here that also is shown a policy of double standards. Whether Greece - is Europe if you please! And kurds, it is such, somewhat 30 - 40 million people which through decades have been achieving the creation of the state. And as the state is not present, how can we speak about?! When Iraq was occupied, kurds recollected. And now what for?
As a whole the impression is created, that Turkey as any beggar let in a back court yard of a lordly manor, moreover even with mass of reservation. It is obvious, that turkish politicians will agree even upon such "entry" into EU. Economic prospects are very tempting. The economy of Turkey directly is fastened to Europe.
There is only one thing how turkish people, especially youth will apprehend it? It is the country with great historical traditions. Turkish armies more than once took tens European cities. Turkish diplomats were equal in rights interlocutors of the European colleagues. And, such humiliation. If Europe acts so with the closest and allied Muslim country how to be in general with prospects of the decision of a problem of a global opposition of Christian and Islamic civilizations? You see moslems of all world keep up events and draw the conclusions!
