“Chechens and Jews - two ghettoes separated with a wall”

The known American legal expert Nadezhda Banchik shares her reasoning concerning the character of the Russian - Chechen war, the shocking attitude of the world community to it and about some generality of the tragic destinies of the Chechen and Jewish peoples with readers of the “Chechenpress ” .

Chechenpress : Nadezhda, what legal or moral ethical principles make you support the Chechen people for such a long time and sympathize with their tragedy so sincerely?

Nadezhda Banchik: “You are a Jew, so why do you support Chechens, they are Moslems, terrorists, and they help Palestinians to terrorize Israelis, struggle against Americans in Afghanistan and Iraq ... “. I had to hear it repeatedly. And I repeatedly answered, “Yes, I support, and not in spite of that I am a Jew , but due to this. Because, being a Jew , I had and still have the brand of “the enemy of mankind”. “The Chechen terrorism” is from the same series, as “use of blood of Christian babies” by Jews.

Chechenpress : But they can object you: "Northeast", Beslan.

Nadezhda Banchik: Answer with questions to questions (in a Jewish way ) : What would you do, if they rushed into your house at daylight, destroy it by bombing, and your relatives had been raped, tortured and killed? If you heard, at the best, silence to all your entreaties for legal aid? If all the entreaties of your leaders about the political settlement of the conflict met pointed refusal and, eventually, the murder of your recognized, elected by the people, leader? And the most sacramental question: who has poisoned with gas almost 200 people in the "Northeast"? Who burnt down hostages in the Beslan School with napalm and flame throwers?

Chechenpress : It is surprising, but at all religious, ethnic and cultural distinctions between Chechens and Jews, in historical and politological analytics Chechens rather frequently get into “the Jewish context”. Does this “Jewish background” of the Chechen subject seem to be artificial to you, deprived of the actual ground?

Nadezhda Banchik: But nevertheless there is a certain latent Jewish background in the Chechen knot. On the one hand, everything is done to bring the reaction to the words “Islamic terrorism” to an unconditioned reflex. On the other hand, the Committee of Conscience of the Washington Museum of the Holocaust has placed Chechens in the list “of the peoples, to whom utter annihilation threatens as the result of genocide”. The Jewish background in the Chechen massacre means a search of the answer to the question: who are Chechens - victims of genocide or “Islamic terrorists”? Or, maybe, none of it?

Chechenpress : Chechens clearly understand that genocide, directed if not to total destruction of the ethnos, but to radical easing of it in demographic and genetic senses, is unleashed against them. And what they name “the Chechen terrorism”, is the aggravated reaction of the Chechen “ethnic organism” to this Kremlin plan of "the final settlement of the Chechen problem”. Do you agree with it?

Nadezhda Banchik: Some indirect tags specify a certain tendency, at least, a dotted line designated in the present “war against the Islamic terrorism” and attempts of Russia use it for the genocide of Chechens. The first campaign against the Chechen people at once began to be perceived by the significant quantity of the western public as genocide. Such corner of sight was promoted by the vigorous activity of the Jewish legal experts and experts of the centers on studying of the Holocaust and genocide (Holocaust and Genocide Studies).

Chechenpress : Whether there are precise legal criteria according to which it is possible to assert that the Russian government has unleashed genocide against the Chechen people?

Nadezhda Banchik: Really, the campaign against Chechens from the first days was carried out by the methods, known as definitions of genocide in the international law, and it is an axiom, and there is nothing unexpected in the reaction of the centers, established for studying and possible taming of this terrible “cancer of human communities” (expression of one of the pioneers of studying of genocide of the Holocaust of Israel Charna ) to the liquidation of the Chechen people. obviously, only organizers of the massacre – Yeltsin's associates, who did not know anything about what was happening outside of their closed party-security-general circle with mafia communications, did not expect such a reaction.

Chechenpress : If there is genocide against the Chechen people and if the genocide is the gravest crime, why there is no international court against the Kremlin criminals?

Nadezhda Banchik: It is not absolutely so. In the process of increase of the protest against the genocide of the Chechen people there was an idea of an international court against its organizers. The reality of realization of this idea almost was not called in question: and Russia was still half-democratic then, and the western public reacted to the genocide with much more keenness, than now (though with delay, but in fact they responded to the massacre in Ruanda and in Bosnia !).

Chechenpress : However simultaneously with the idea of the international court against the Kremlin criminals and even with an advancing of this idea politicians of the West began to speak that the massacre in the Chechen Republic was “an internal affair of Russia ”. Interfamily, so to say, business, with which strangers should not interfere. Is not it so?

Nadezhda Banchik: Yes, already then the tendency of collaboration with the Russian military criminals was designated (president Clinton celebrated with Yeltsin in Moscow the 50-anniversary of the Victory in the second World War on the background of ruins of Groznyy!), but the western public, and many politicians resolutely demanded TO RECOGNIZE the CHECHEN WAR to be GENOCIDE AND TO JUDGE the MILITARY CRIMINALS. And after signing of the Hasavyurt and then and Moscow agreements the preparation of the International tribunal began to be carried out rather resolutely. And experts of the Holocaust and genocide began to take an active part in it. And then security officers, obviously, had an "ingenious" idea: to fasten Chechens to “Islamic terrorists”.

It seemed, it would kill all "hares" with one shot. It would scare away Jews from Chechens for ever and finally, “the centers on studying of the Holocaust” would not threaten with court to the government of Russia any more. And it would draw Israel from the camp of enemies of Russia into the camp of friends (and then it would be possible to press on it as they pressed on Armenia, which in 1988 was in the forefront of the “construction superintendents of perestroika”, and now, squeezed between Turkey and Russia, has slid down to the tail of Putin's mafia). And if to refresh the old communications with “national-liberation movements of Arabs and Palestinians against Zionist invaders” and to direct these movements across Israel and America ... We are on the top, and the whole Western world is ours!

Chechenpress : But in fact it is impossible to ignore the fact, proved for thousand of times by historians that Chechens battle against the Russian colonial expansion for centuries. The national-liberation war of Chechens against Russia began when nobody in the world, and first of all Chechens, heard about any terrorism”.

Nadezhda Banchik: Well, so what, that Chechens did not know, what was terrorism? In fact in Russia is, “When the country orders to be a hero, anyone in our country becomes a hero”. Or: “We are born to realize the dream”. It is possible to say also so, “If you can not, we shall teach you, if you do not want to, we shall make you”. The rest will be completed with propagation, like according to Goebbels's textbook: if to repeat the same lie day by day, it will begin to be perceived at the level of an unconditioned reflex.

Only two things went wrong. First, Chechens have not wanted to become terrorists. Despite of everything, what was done against them, despite of how they were forced to. And it was too obvious from all acts of terrorism that it was not completely the Chechen work. In all acts of terrorism, beginning with explosions 1999 up to Beslan 2004, the sewing together of the facts turned out to be seen. Second, the most important Jewish centers of studying of the Holocaust and genocide understood, with what the counterterrorist struggle of Israel differs from genocide of the Chechen people. And consequently the Washington museum of the Holocaust has placed Chechens in the list of "peoples, who are under the threat of liquidation because of genocide”, and there are no Palestinians in this list.

Chechenpress : It is necessary to ask: why do Jewish official figures, if they have experienced physical and propaganda genocide of their own people, support the Kremlin positions in the Chechen question?

Nadezhda Banchik: To a great regret, not all Jewish figures have understood these artful designs. And some people, especially Russian ones, realizing the situation, operate according to the principle, “it is good, that this time not against us!” It is a naive and immoral position, but everyone operates according to the measure of own perversity. But, in general, poisonous seeds of the Russian propagation have given some results. And consequently two ghettoes, Chechen and Jewish щтуы , turned out to be artificial separated by a wall, through which it is possible to penetrate only into narrow holes and cracks.
