As they informed IА REGNUM in the department of the governmental information by the president, the leader of the republic considers that the seminar could help "to reveal ‘hot spots’", to improve interaction among various structures of the state authority. "We build our state and we should know what chiefs we have on places, what problems they face, what resources they’ve got, what the help they need", - Bagapsh told.
He also notified that the agriculture will be financed from Privatization Fund with “proved real projects".
Authorities in breakaway Abkhazia accused President Saakashvili of widening divisions between Abkhazians and Georgians by disseminating false information, the Abkhaz news agency, Apsnipress, reported on May 25.
President Saakashvili alleged on May 24 that Georgian textbooks from all the schools in the Abkhaz town of Gagra had been “publicly burned.” Saakashvili complained that the international community had remained silent on the incident.
“Allegation of this kind are an immoral attempt to manipulate universal humanitarian values so as to increase xenophobia and ethnic hatred between the Georgian and Abkhaz societies,” a statement issued by the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry on May 25 reads.
The parliament of Abkhazia develops a strategy of solving of the demographic problems of the unrecognized republic. With that purpose the legislators initiated consultations, which goal should be to formulate some uniform conceptual approaches to solving of the demographic problems.
