To refute what is mentioned in the posted site would need long process of research towards presenting logical information that would be derived from fair and dependable documented history references, and not only the results of ambitious conquests.

Unfortunately, even the history and events that took place in the past are explained and converted to information that pertain to different parties and sides, which means that each one of the sources that extracts and presents the historic information would be reflecting different historians’ schools, ideas, opinions, agendas, emotions, preferences, prospects, and expectations.

I was astonished once when a Georgian who I used to exchange information and opinions with on JFNC Forum, had told me that Abkhazia, and even the Circassian city of Sochi were part of Georgia! The Georgian friend though did not go any further on what was the situation before and after that.

It is possible to follow the number of conquerors who used to be occupying and controlling territories and nations, that are mentioned in this paragraph without a certain sequence such as the Vikings, Romans, Persians, Greeks, Arabs, Mongols, Iberians, Armenians, Ottomans, crusaders, Byzantines, Russians and others.

That shows that one day the conquerors will vanish, but the live-nations who got the well, they will prevail, and will survive imperialism, colonialism and oppression.

No doubt that Abkhazia is a different entity of the surrounding structures, being connected to the North Western Caucasian Circassians. The Language that Abkhazians use is considered originated from the Adiga group of North Caucasus languages, which got no relationship an any way with the language spoken by the present nation that is called Georgia. Abkhazia is part of the North Caucasus that is part of Europe, while the present Georgian state is part of the South Caucasus and accordingly as a part of Asia, which means in other words Asian Caucasus, like Armenians and Azerbaijanis.

But the fact of the matter indicates that many invaders and colonialists had tried and even managed to conquer, occupy, and colonize parts of the Caucasus due to the importance of the strategic location, and other important factors that found to be the attractive reasons and feasible to do.

Not defending any acts of oppression against civilians during armed conflicts, but all atrocities that might had taken place were as a result of the colonialists’ policies to change the demographic realities on the ground; but Abkhazia and other nations got the legitimate right for self determination, freedom and independence.
