Today morning, an attack was made on the UN mission in the Galskiy District of Abkhazia. Mr. Tornike Kilanava, a representative of local authorities, has reported that the culprits attacked the house of local resident Indiko Kobaliya, where the mission is located. In Kilanava's words, the robbers stole money and jewellery of the mission's employees.
The owner of the house was beaten for the resistance he tried to render. His bride working as interpreter for the mission was also beaten, the "Gazeta.Ru" reports.
It is remarkable that on April 6, the USA have refused to grant visas to the delegation from Abkhazia, which had wanted to take part in the UN Security Council session, which will consider the settlement issues of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. http://eng.kavkaz.memo.ru/newstext/engnews/id/1183470.html
