Participants of the weekly quadrilateral meeting of representatives of the Russian peace-making forces, United Nations military observers, the Abkhazian and Georgian parties characterized conditions in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone, as a whole, as quiet. The meeting passed under presidency of the peace-making forces commander general Sergey Chaban. IА REGNUM correspondent was informed that in the press-group of the CIS Collective peace-making forces (CIS CPMF) in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone.
During the meeting public prosecutor of Gali area of Abkhazia Roman Katsba suggested the Georgian party exchanging the lists of the wanted persons hiding in the adjacent territories, with the purpose of their subsequent detention. Besides with the purpose of normalization criminal situation in the security zone, he considered necessary carrying out of indicative exchange of the detained persons with participation of mass media.
Representatives of Georgia agreed with the above-stated offers and plan to discuss with employees of the law enforcement bodies of Abkhazia legal issues of such action in the nearest future.
