To Abkhazia it was delivered 1200 tons of gasoline АИ-76. "For today there is no fuel crisis - fuel is enough for satisfaction of the people’s needs up to the end of this week", - the general director of the State company "Abkhaztop" Merab Dziapsh-ipa told in the interview to IА REGNUM.
In Abkhazia one litre of АИ-76 gasoline costs today 18 rbl. 50 copeck. According to Dziapsh-ipa, they were holding negotiations for delivery of new portion of gasoline. "We cannot constrain rising prices for fuel as they’re rising in the countries-suppliers" - told Dziapsh-ipa. He informed that they expected delivery of 1200 more tons of gasoline, and added that " meanwhile there are some problems".
Failures in providing the population with gasoline in the state company were explained with problems of their delivery. Dziapsh-ipa reminded about numerous cases of arrests by the Georgian party of the vessels with gasoline from Turkey. Being afraid of vessels’ capture, foreign shipowners refused to carry fuel to Abkhazia.
"To find a vessel, to ship fuel and to deliver it in the republic is a challenge", - the director of the joint venture "Inter-highway" Levan Adlejba told IА REGNUM. Under his information, negotiations with the Greek shipowners were being carried on. Negotiations with Krasnodar territory were in parallel on, too. "But for us fuel delivery from Krasnodar turns out to be more expensive. In this case a litre of gasoline will cost minimum 20 rubles", - he explained.
