Chairman of the public political movement “United Abkhazia” Arthur Mikvabija brought to necessity of consolidation of Abkhazian nation for facing a national threat to focus of participants of the next congress of the movement.
He suggested the parties entering the block of the movement to be united under aegis of one party. "Certainly, we are not going to force the event. It is necessary for us to lead consultations ", - was noted. This party, as he said, on the international scene will continue its struggle for Abkhazia’s recognition, and within internal affairs to promote the state bodies in creation of strong and effective state, capable to guarantee protection of life, safety, rights of its citizens; execution of laws.
" An overall objective of all us is recognition of the political status of Abkhazia by the world community. Political movement "United Abkhazia " calls all the political parties and movements of Abkhazia to join the address prepared by us to the National Assembly - Parliament of Republic Abkhazia. We ask our parliament to address the parliaments of all the countries of the world and to the United Nations with request for recognition of Abkhazia as an independent state.
"United Abkhazia " is ready (and we have been already supported by Amtsahara, Aitayra and independent trade unions) to lead in the republic explanatory works to organize a petition and to give the process All-Abkhazian scale. We deeply believe that this action will becomes another firm step on the way to recognition and prosperity of Republic Abkhazia ", - Arthur Mikvabija told addressing the congress of "United Abkhazia ".
On results of the congress they passed a resolution. "United Abkhazia " made a decision to stir up its activity in questions of the further development of the ideological base, to begin updating the program according to new political realities.
In the resolution they underlined necessity of paying special attention to the organization of propaganda activity, expansion of the movement’s number due to politically active citizens. In the passed final document it is spoken about necessity " of creation a close interaction with the central and regional mass-media, improvements of information supply of the regional organizations ".
According to the Resolution, in the regional branches of the movement they should gather conferences concerning conditions of the organizational-political work.
