Abkhazia president Sergey Bagapsh visited on May, 13th military units dislocated in Ochamchirsky area of the republic. During his inspectional visits in the troops of the eastern group of military forces Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Abkhazian armed forces – president of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh was accompanied by the vice-prime-minister, the minister of defense Sultan Sosnaliev; the first deputy to the head of military forces Merab Kishmaria; the chairman of the parliament committee on defense and security Garry Samanba. As it was informed to the IA REGNUM correspondent in the governmental information administration, the head of the republic held an operative conference in the staff of the eastern group of military forces where they discussed military state and readiness of the units for repulsing attacks of possible enemy.
Then the president and officials accompanying him found out the state of affairs in units, solders’ every day life. The Supreme Commander-in-Chief met with officers and solders. The president noted that the leadership of Abkhazia had paid and would have pay its prime attention to strengthening of defense capacity.
During the trip in Ochamchir the president visited newly repaired building of the area department of inner affairs. With the leadership of the area militia the president had discussed questions concerned criminal situation in the area. In the centre of Ochamchir he talked to citizens of the town.
