TBILISI. April 4 (Interfax) - The Abkhaz authorities are illegally trying to gain control over the Abkhaz sector of the Georgian sea border, the Georgian Interior Ministry's Border Department said in a statement on Monday.
"Military units subordinated to the unrecognized authorities of Abkhazia, which are seeking control over part of Georgia's sea border, are illegal, and their actions will be regarded as military provocations," the statement reads.
The Georgian Border Department denied reports from Sukhumi that Georgian vessels had trespassed on the so-called territorial waters of Abkhazia on March 15.
