The title reminds the reader of a mixture of the present and the past that mixes the painful realities of the past -which made the blood shed - leads to the loss of homeland, becoming genocide and ethnic cleansing victims and eventually part of the population were living under occupation and the vast majority were brutally killed by the Tsarist Russian aggressors' army, killed during the deportation process while transported by sea and land, killed because of illness, disease and severe effects of the rough living circumstances, or who ended up living as refugees in Diaspora. A real and warm human touch of connecting the present with the past came through the genuine human, but Royal initiative which came from the well-known prince that is a descendent of a well-known Hashemite Family that descended from Prophet Abraham, the father of the Prophets, through Prophet Mohammad's (SAAW) Blessed Family. Prince Ali Ibn Al-Hussein decided to set up a historical journey after the traces and the incoming footsteps of the devastated deported Circassians and Caucasians who had to depart their motherland in the year 1864. He accompanied the descendents and grandchildren of the Circassian Diaspora in Jordan to take a historical and meaningful trip to the heart of the North Caucasus, to historical Circassia. All details were taken into consideration starting with the clothes to be worn, through accompanying the Circassian companion, the horses, and ended up with carrying culture, music, dance, and the polite Circassian way of behaving. Last but not least, Circassian logos and flags that were kept in the hearts and minds of the deportees of the great exodus of the year 1864 were raised wherever the team had went to. During the summer of the year 1998, the road plan went through a route that went from Jordan, Syria, Turkey and then went on crossing the Black Sea from Trabzon, Turkey, to the Caucasian sea port of Sochi, continuing to parts of historical Circassia and toured the present North Caucasian Republics of Adygea, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Karachaevo-Circassia. Last, but not least the prince and his companions did not miss the opportunity of climbing to the highest mountain in Europe, Mount Elbruz. The population of Circassian villages, towns, and cities had welcomed, hailed and greeted the Jordanian Hashemite Prince and his associates hospitably and enthusiastically with Circassian feasts, music, dance and welcome speeches. At one occasion in Turkey, almost 35,000 Circassians attended a warm welcome and a Circassian dancing party was performed. Also the Circassian flags were erected. The trip and the follow up of the steps of the terrorized grandfathers and grandmothers to where they started from and had to leave motherland or came from is considered a brave mission that no one had ever thought of accomplishing in the way that was fulfilled in it's significant outcome. The successful journey proved to the world that the Circassian and Caucasian nations that had their homeland occupied and/or had to be deported to Diaspora will always seek the ways and means for the restoring of their missing rights, and will take all absolute legal methods and visions to be able to practice their proper and legitimate rights for their cause of truth and justice. I raise my hat to Prince Ali, the descendent of the Chiefs and Kings of Arabia.
